Ceremonia with Num + Lum – August 12th – Scorpios Beach Club
BRINGING GOOD JUJU TO MYKONOS
Scorpios Mykonos, one the most idyllic and refined beach clubs in the world, will host an unprecedented evening to raise consciousness and funds to support refugee children in Greece.
Mykonos, August 12, 2016, SUNSET— Scorpios Mykonos, Caravan Gitane and ERCI join
forces to host an unprecedented benefit that will serve to fund a mobile learning lab built to support and educate refugee youth in Greece.
Our shared, celebratory experience will support the heroic work of Emergency Response Centre International (ERCI) who have brought over 35,000 refugees to safety. This benefit will support an initiative of self-managed learning and psychological support for refugee youth. 100% of all donations will support the creation of a mobile learning unit that will travel between camps in Northern Greece as it teaches children to transform their stories of tragedy into ones of resilience.
During our sunset to evening rituals — that is dubbed ‘Good JuJu’ — Scorpios Mykonos’ serpentine terraces, emerging from rocky crevices, will be transformed into stages of exuberant theater that inspire a multi-dimensional world of play. Attendees will wear inspired dress and sincerely immerse themselves in body painting, sound tuning, dance, yoga or any action that evokes joy– all while guided by the rhythmic sonic gifts of our hermanos, NUM (NU + LUM). The goal of the evening is to be able to celebrate and enjoy the abundance of the earth and concurrently acknowledge the ongoing struggle of those who are only a few kilometers away.
