A glance of Mykonos’ past

According to mythology the god Zeus killed the greek sea giants, which turned into stone creating the island of Mykonos.

The island for long time represented an important market due to neighbouring island of Delos. The romans ruled the island and Greece from 146 B.C. From 1200 the island was dominated by the venetians, and later by the Catalans, pirates and turks. The turistic boom started in the 50’s and today is one of the most exclusive turistic destinations in the world, always improving the service offered to its visitors.
